‘Belonging’ was painted on the Spring Equinox, inspired by a breath-taking moment: two swans arriving in perfect synchronicity at my favourite spot on the meads — a place I return to every day to connect with nature.

Swans mate for life, and watching this pair come together to build their nest felt like witnessing a quiet miracle. That moment of union, love, and devotion stirred something deep in me.

This piece captures the essence of that memory — the arrival of spring, the promise of bluebells soon to bloom, and the quiet joy of belonging to a place, a season, a feeling.
